Student Device Program

Ocean View College is committed to supporting teaching and learning for all Year 7 – 12 students by providing 24/7 access to a School Managed Device

24/7 access to a School Managed Device is a crucial tool to support your child’s learning. This enables students to engage with the school’s eLearning environment and other systems that are an integral part of working life.

As part of the Department for Education’s Student Device Policy, Ocean View College will be providing a subsidised Student Device Program to those students commencing in both Year 7 & Year 10, in conjunction with our BYOD Program.

Students participating in the Student Device Program will have exclusive possession of a school managed laptop that is connected to the schools network resources.

Students may use these devices at school and at home. This will provide access to School based systems and resources including the College’s Internet (whilst at school), E-Mail, Microsoft Office Applications, Daymap, secure cloud data and file storage and printing services whilst being managed and supported by the College’s ICT Department.

(This Program is in a 3 year rollout phase and is currently only being offered to Year’s 7 and 10 in 2024. Each year after 2024 the offer will be expanded to the following year levels. 2025 -Year 7/8 & 10/11 2026 – Year 7/8/9 & 10/11/12)
