Harbor View Campus – Years 10-13

Harbor View Campus is an Ocean View P-12 College Tailored Learning campus located in the heart of historic Port Adelaide.

Harbor View is aimed at students wanting to complete a SACE Pathway who are needing an alternative to mainstream.

With a focus on SACE, students are able to complete qualifications in a flexible, adult learning environment outside of a formal school setting.

The Harbor View Approach is made up of:

  • Flexible timetabling;
  • Case Management;
  • Youth Worker support;
  • Career Development and employment pathways;
  • Wellbeing and engagement programs incorporated into SACE subjects.

Tailored learning for Years 10-13

Our longstanding and experienced staff have together shaped an innovative program that meets the needs of its students in an accepting, flexible and empowering way. Stripping away the typical structures of mainstream schooling to create more space for acceptance, connection and collaboration.

  • Tailored Learning enrolments;
  • Flexible enrolment times throughout the year.

Harbor View is a Tailored Learning support program for student’s Year 10 and above and is well suited to students experiencing:

  • Disengagement from learning in a mainstream environment who are still after a SACE pathway;
  • Mental health issues;
  • Independent living;
  • Employment commitments;
  • Other extenuating circumstances.

SACE

All Tailored Learning students at Harbor View participate in the SACE (South Australian Certificate of Education). A SACE completion plan is completed on enrolment and monitored regularly allowing students to work on SACE Stage 1 and Stage 2 subjects in a learner directed, adult learning environment. Harbor View caters for a range of students; highly motivated learners who may face challenges in attending school regularly or are at risk of or disengaged from mainstream schooling. Students can choose to study a full SACE program through to a single subject, as negotiated in their SACE completion plan.
