Information Processing and Publishing (Stage 2 TAS) 20 Credits, TAS 2 Semesters
Focus is on the Design Principles and the Design Process in the development of print based and electronic based products. The two focus areas of this course are Desktop and Electronic Publishing.
Desktop Publishing focuses on print based products. Electronic Publishing focuses on authoring and publishing websites. Skills development in the following areas of image manipulation, web authoring, video and audio editing will be included in the course.
Students will examine components of hardware and software in relation to the design process. Social and ethical issues will be identified and examined in relation to the design process.
Students provide evidence of their learning through eight assessments, including the external assessment component. Students undertake:
